Science Fun (ages 4-5) Mrs May
We'll be doing some simple experiments and interactive activities together.
Gallery of Curiosities: Animal Adaptations (ages 6-9) Ms Aban
Students will visit different stations to explore how animals use physical features to survive in their habitats. They will choose an animal and create a clay sculpture of it to show exaggerated adaptations like claws, wings, or trunks. They will then make a habitat diorama of their animal's environment. Parents will be able to take a "Gallery Walk" from about 11:15 and hear students explain how their animal survives in that environment.
Human Adaptation and Survival in Extreme Environments (ages 9-12) Mr Maraya
Students will work in pairs to design a model of a survival colony in a randomly assigned environment.
They will identify environmental challenges and develop creative solutions for shelter, food, water, and
energy. They will conclude with a short presentation explaining their design. Parents will be able
to visit the displays and hear the presentations from about 11:15.
