Preschool Class for ages 4-6 (Mrs. May, Ms Emily)
Our theme is Sea Creatures. Students will have a chance to listen to stories about God's amazing sea creatures. We'll also sing, make a craft, do activities and with others.
Grade 1-2 Introduction to Poetry (Ms. Clarke)
Come and enjoy the beauty of poetry! You will be introduced to a variety of poetic styles which will inspire you to read and listen to more poetry. Then you'll have a chance to create poems as a group and on your own, with some support as needed. Students may also illustrate their poems
Grade 3-5 Poetry Slam (Ms. Aban)
Step into the exciting world of spoken word! We'll explore a variety of poetic styles and techniques, to help you find your unique voice and writing style. You will learn how to bring your words to life and to present to an audience. We'll wrap up with presentations in the auditorium in front of our very supportive Parallel family members. Come and boost your self-confidence in writing and public speaking skills in a fun, engaging way!
Grade 6-8 Poetry Slam (Mr. Maraya)

Schedule:
9:30-9:50 Registration ( pick up name tags at Atrium in the classroom building, drop off library books)
9:55 Meet teachers in Atrium. Teachers lead students to their classrooms.
10:00-11:30 Class Time
11:30-12:00 Poetry Slam Presentation in Auditorium (Come and cheer on our grade 3-8 students!)
12:00 Lunch (optional; please bring your own food)
11:30-5:00 Campus open for play (supervised by parents)
9:30-13:00 CAJ and Parallel libraries open
Additional Information
Cost: ¥1500 per student; maximum of ¥3000 per family for those with multiple children.
All supplies for the classes will be provided.
